Meditation

A FREE meditation app is INSIGHT TIMER.  It's an amazing app that has a lot of pregnancy meditations and just all different kinds for whatever you need to help refocus, center, be present, and positive.

Here is the link to their webpage where you can download the app. https://insighttimer.com/

Another great pregnancy meditation app is Expectful: Expectful Meditation & Sleep App - Fertility, Pregnancy, and Motherhood.

Affirmations

We encourage you to write or print our affirmations and place them on your mirror, in your car, etc... for you to look at everyday. Consider making a banner of birth affirmations for you to have with you while you are in labor to empower you to have the birth experience you desire.

Fitness

We encourage you to continue your normal exercise program that you did prior to pregnancy. Your body will guide you when it is time to modify your intensity or type of exercise as your pregnancy progresses.

When you have some time, checkout:

http://www.birthfit.com.

Our doctors will show you some exercises in the office as part of your care, but the Birthfit website is a great resource of information!

Birth Plan

Here is our Birth Plan template to help give you some guidance while y'all write yours.

Postpartum Plan

Don't forget about your postpartum plan! Pregnancy and labor is very important, but how you want your postpartum to look like is just as or more important. If mama is not good no one is good. Your postpartum adjustments will support your body in healing and assist you in regaining your vitalism.  Here are some great books to learn more about postpartum planning:

The First Forty Days: The Essential Art of Nourishing the New Mother

The Mommy Plan, Restoring Your Post-Pregnancy Body Naturally, Using Women's Traditional Wisdom

The Fourth Trimester: A Postpartum Guide to Healing Your Body, Balancing Your Emotions, and Restoring Your Vitality
